Address: 4500 Lancaster Lane, Mims, FL 32754.

Price: Free.

Hours: Day Use. Open 7 Days A Week.

Parking: Yes.

Land Activities: Hiking, Wildlife Viewing.

Trails: Yes. The trail starts by exiting the parking lot on the eastern side of the parking lot. The canal runs on the left side of the trail and can be followed for the first part of the trail. There is a wooden kiosk on the right, next to another section of the trail that runs through the scrubby flatwoods environment and finishes up the trail loop on the way back.

If you keep going straight, you'll end near another entrance to the next part of the trail to the right. (This will be an exit near the kiosk further back).

This part of the trail is the most interesting because it traverses through the environment with slight elevation changes. One part shows the parking lot across Dairy Road for the Salt Lake Wildlife Management Area.

Camping: None.

Water Activities: None.

Unique Features: Canal. Elevation Changes.

The Ridiculous Otter Opinion: This Sanctuary is a "hidden gem" due to its location near other larger hiking areas. It's worth going to because the trail's slight elevation changes caught me by surprise, and it is a nice change of pace from regular Florida hiking. The canal area was also interesting because it shows a variety of Florida soil on the opposite edge, which is viewable on the trail. The proximity to the Salt Lake Wildlife Management Area allows hikers to do more than one hike daily. This Sanctuary is great for hikers visiting the surrounding area of Titusville.
